چکیده

Different from conventional wired line connections, industrial control through wireless transmission is widely regarded as a promising solution due to its reduced cost, increased long-term reliability, and enhanced reliability. However, mission-critical applications impose stringent quality of service (QoS) requirements that entail ultra-reliability low-latency communications (URLLC). The primary feature URLLC the blocklength channel codes short, Shannon’s Capacity not applicable. In this paper, we consider in factory automation (FA) scenario. Due densely deployed equipment FA, signal are easily blocked by obstacles. To address issue, propose deploy intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) create an alternative link, which can enhance focus on performance analysis for IRS-aided URLLC-enabled FA Both average data rate (ADR) decoding error probability (ADEP) derived under finite seven cases: 1) Rayleigh fading channel; 2) With direct link; 3) Nakagami-m 4) Imperfect phase alignment; 5) Multiple-IRS case; 6) Rician 7) Correlated channels. Extensive numerical results provided verify accuracy our results.

Latency in Factory Automation

Latency is a critical parameter in Ethernet networks developed for Factory Automation applications. Latency is not a defined value for Ethernet as specified by the IEEE 802.3 standard. Nor is Ethernet inherently synchronous or repeatable. This disconnect between the inherent characteristics of Ethernet and the needs of Factory Automation applications must be bridged though careful architecture ...

Performance Analysis of cooperative SWIPT System: Intelligent Reflecting Surface versus Decode-and-Forward

In this paper, we explore the impacts of utilizing intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS) in a power-splitting based simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (PS-SWIPT) system and compare its performance with the traditional decode and forward relaying system. To analyze a more practical system, it is also assumed that the receiving nodes are subject to decoding cost, and they are on...
